To recruit more employers, strategies employed by other agencies with similar goals were discussed to determine how effective they would be for Worker Friendly.  The methods utilized by other agencies consisted of free advertising in newspapers, radio, and fundraising events for employers who were a part of similar agencies.  The meeting ended with a discussion of these strategies and how well they might fit into Worker Friendly's agenda.

May 14 and 15, 2011, the Athens Human Rights Festival included three presentation opportunities for the Economic Justice Coalition.  Following the three undocumented immigrant high school activists, we spoke of how it is that "children can raise a village."  EJC is a member of the Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition.  We provide ESL, English language training at the day labor shelter on Saturday mornings.  We engage law students of the Public Interest Project of the Law School in cases of wage theft and related employer violations.
